Director Shawn Levy says Deadpool & Wolverine is a character-driven film as a substitute of a cameos and fan service one.
“I will say we did not begin off with a wishlist,” he advised EW. “From the day we began devising this Deadpool and Wolverine story, we let the story dictate the characters, not the opposite method round.”
Sharing his views on Pyro’s entry – a personality from X2 and X-Males: The Final Stand, Shawn stated, “Aaron and his return as Pyro was an outgrowth of that, and that applies to just about all of the characters you will see within the film.”
Elsewhere within the interview, the filmmaker opened up about Hugh Jackman’s affect on the movie, which, he stated, sharply modified the movie.
“Every part modified radically on the day that Hugh referred to as Ryan,” including, “We had been workshopping a variety of concepts about doable tales for a 3rd Deadpool film.”
